Meet Roxanne and Michelle!

We are so thrilled to introduce you to our last group of birth assistants – Roxanne and Michelle.

Roxanne Kane, RN, BSN – Lead Birth Assistant

Roxanne Kane has been a Registered Nurse for well over 20 years, with most of that time doing Labor and Delivery in various establishments in the Valley and in Payson, most notably the Bethany Birth Center.  She is a strong believer in the strength of women and their ability to birth their babies naturally, but also has the critical experience and calm strength to handle unforeseen problems too. 

 Roxanne is the mother of four grown children, and grandmother of 9 grandchildren.  This does not count the many “part-time” children and grandchildren that she has been involved with.  She was born and raised in Southern California, but has lived in Arizona for over thirty years. 

Caring and love is brought to each birth through this Nurse; for the new Mother, the new Baby, and the entire Family!  She understands how important this time of life is for the new family, and feels honored to share it with all. 

Michelle Dayton RN, BSN – Birth Assistant

Michelle graduated Cum Laude from Arizona State University with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2009.  She currently works in acute care at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix, and is ACLS and NRP certified. 

 Michelle’s true passion is for women and their families.   She is currently on her journey to becoming a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and a midwife.  Michelle’s goal as a birthing assistant is to support women and their families in one of life’s greatest journeys and to help them create a birthing experience that they choose and that is empowering and nurturing.  She is excited to be a part of the Babymoon Inn and honored to have the opportunity to be a part of many miracles!
